A post for a post...

OK! I couldn't think of a good name for my blog post, hence the lame-ness above! ha... How was your Thanksgiving? Did you go shopping on Black Friday and get some great deals? Mine was good. We had just a few of our family in town, which made for a small Thanksgiving with extra food to spare (hello yummy leftovers!!!). It was great! Everyone did a little of something. My oldest sister's family was here in town staying with us, my sister Berit and her sone Curtis, the Rents (cool way of saying parents), my Grandma and Aunt Karen, and also my youngest sister Verity and her hubbie. Sounds like a lot, but trust me, it's not even close. It was all good fun though. Early in the morning we had gone to see Tangled, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Great fun, you should see it. Then the guys took the kids out for their own Turkey Trot. After we rested and got ready for the feast. We had a great smoked turkey for lunch (courtesy of EVIT) and then an even greater bird for the Thanksgiving ...

Dating Manners...

So everyone (well let's hope everyone) knows that there are certain mannerisms to have whilst out on a date. #1. Talk, therefore not making it awkward. But not enough to tell your life story #2. I feel that I'm a pretty courteous date. I turn off my phone/put on silence so as not to disturb my night. I talk during the date so as not to make it awkward. Because TRUST ME, I can make it awkward and it can be funny or horrible for said date. And I have fun...

My conversation starters...

A little background: I work full time during the day. I go to school full time during the evening/night. My life is pretty filled with busy work at work and school. I rarely play, but when I do it's hard and fun. The other day, I had been telling my mom stories that I thought were HILARIOUS!!!! I started noticing, however, that every story I was telling my mom began with, "One time at work, blah blah blah." Other times they started more like, "HA! Ok! So at work, la la la!" I realized that I couldn't NOT talk about work. Not necessarily about work per se, however about the people I work with. The people I work with are hilarious, adventurous, crazy, and that's why I like them. It's a rare thing to like people at work, but I do. Then I realized that my mom doesn't know a lot about these people. I started wondering how many other times I've begun a story like that. IT HAPPENED SO MUCH MORE THAN I THOUGHT! AH! Yeah! I went back to ponder on my c...
