Who are you when I'm not looking...

My oh my you're so good looking
Hold yourself together like a pair of bookends
But I've not tasted all you're cooking
Who are you when I'm not looking
Do you pour a little something on the rocks
Slide down the hallway in your socks
When you undress do you leave a path
Then sink to your nose in a bubble bath
My oh my you're so good looking
Hold yourself together like a pair of bookends
But I've not tasted all you're cooking
Who are you when I'm not looking
I wanna know I wanna know I wanna know
Do you break things when you get mad
Eat a box of chocolate cause you're feeling bad
Do you paint your toes 'cause you bite your nails
And call up mama when all else fails
Who are you when I'm not around
When the door is locked and the shades are down
Do you listen to your music quietly
And when it feels just right are ya thinking of me
I wanna know I wanna know I wanna know
My oh my you're so good looking
But who are you when I'm not looking
*****************
This song kind of describes what I'm feeling.
Most people who know me, don't really KNOW me.
I like to think of myself as a chameleon.
Not that I constantly change.
I'm pretty stable (thankfully).
I just have so many different sides that it's hard to distinguish.
Few have. I have a head on my shoulders.
Which, unlike most, is good thing to have.
I know who I am and where I'm going,
(the where part is fuzzy sometimes) but in general.
So after hearing this song, I thought I would share
some small parts of me, that rarely come out when people
are looking.
Who am I when most aren't looking?
I'm a country fan, BIG TIME!
I dance in front of my mirror... Every. Single. Day.
I talk to myself and have conversations in the mirror.
I call it practicing for the true conversation. But my sisters will
attest to that and say I'm just weird.
Speaking of which, I am weird.
I am not a fashion freak, but am DEFINITELY a fashion snob.
You can't tell from my every day wardrobe.
But I have more expensive pieces of clothing than a lot
of people. They will last for ages. My nice clothes
make me happy. Most of my nice clothes are dresses.
I'm a shoe freak. Not cheap shoes that don't last.
But the good strong kind. Most of my shoes are leather.
Boots included too. I feel that when your feet are happy, you are too.
It's true. Comfy feet make for a good day.
I love stars and snowflakes.
They are symmetrical.
They are simple but beautiful...
I love jeans. jeans. Jeans. JEANS! I like getting compliments
on my pants and people saying I look good. Jeans, all compliments are
due to you!
I've never dyed, coloured, anything to my hair. Just cut and perm.
I absolutely love musicals. When I watch, I sing along imagining
that I am in the movie. I dance, when no one looks.
I devour myself in them and could watch the
all day long. Musical are a happy place
in my heart that I hold dear.
If you get angry, threaten, try to get on my bad side,
I don't care. I roll it off my shoulders and move on.
You can pick on me. I don't care. I've been
picked on for so long and heard almost
everything. Instead of sit and cry,
which is embarrassing, I move on.
Forget it. Done!
I have asthma. When I go on an activity and it gets out of
control, I apologize like crazy and get embarrassed.
I try to stop the attack coming on, but it
only makes it worse. I hate asthma.
I wish I could trade it in.
I'm addicted to exclamation points!!!!!! (see)
For the next couple of posts, I'm going to posts songs that speak to me and post
a little something about myself. I'm inviting you into my
personal little world... You're welcome!
Just kidding! ha!
Well for now, I think I've bored you enough.
Peace!

I have conversations with myself in the mirror too...come to think of it...I have convesations with myself alllll the time, if no one else is around. How else are you supposed to keep yourself entertained? Hahaha! I love your list ;)
